Is this thing toast? I'm trying to copy off files from my SD card to my PC but my estimated time for about 200 photos is "1 day" according to windows.

to clarify. i'm using a microSD Card reader in my PC, and it's still slow as heck. I'm trying to transfer my photos off of the SD card onto my hard drive and it just hangs there.

This is the second time one of my SD cards have crapped out on me. I had a sandisk ultra 64gb that died before on me that went from my galaxy s2 and s4. sent it in for replacement and received this one, that worked for a year or so and now giving me the same issues on my galaxy s5 and s7, general slowdown and having trouble transferring files off...

You may want to use specialized SD card recovery software for getting your data off. Then junk that card.

Also, you can try a different card reader. That sometimes helps.

Unfortunately, SD cards are generally unreliable. They're made to be cheap, not necessarily reliable long-term.
