Hello fine folks of AT,

I seem to have a problem with my old hedseat on a new-built computer. I'm able to get sound in both front and rear jacks, although I can't seem to get my microphone working. I have tried to fiddle around in the BIOS, in Realtek Audio Manager, Sound panel from Windows, ... But nothing seems to get it working.

Anyone here could come up with some solutions to my problem?

Thanks in advance!

For reference:
Headset: Razer Carcharias
MoBo: Asrock Z77 Extreme 4
Case: Antec Three Hundred Two

Verify that the MIC input works. Connect the headphone output jack from a portable player (tape, CD, Walkman, etc) into the MIC jack with the player volume set very low. Then determine if you can get any throughput. If not, something is probably wrong with the MIC function, otherwise you need a pre-amp or high gain (battery supported) MIC.

So, as it seems, it has decided to start working for some reason. I have no idea how I did it, just playing around with the setings, but it seems to work. Thanks for the suggestions anyway!
