Okay, so I'm at my wit's end here. I originally used a Logitech Precision Gaming Headset for years with no problems. My sound setup is as follows: a PCI Creative Sound Blaster XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Pro Series connected with Logitech e5300 5.1 surround speakers and an onboard 7.1 Azalia card connected with a mono headset (formerly the Logitech headset). I am also running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. Now for some reason all of a sudden I was talking in Ventrilo when people started to mention that I was breaking up. Before I knew it, they couldn't hear me at all. I figured it was just a bad mic, so I went out a bought a new one. I've tried the mic ports on both sound cards to no avail. The line volumes and boosts are maxed out. It's weird because if I scream into the mic, I CAN see a very small volume response. The headset works normally. I just don't know what could be causing this. Could anyone offer some assistance? Thanks!
