Microphone help

Hi guys
I want to buy a cheap microphone to record voice for some Youtube videos.

I need a microphone that would cancel noise around and would only record voice. In other words, I dont want the "shhhhh" sound and other noise around me in the tape.

Will be using on laptop, so a 3.5 jack or USB 🙂

(My work desk is right in the middle of noise :thumbsdown🙂

So what you want is a directional cardoid condenser microphone. I typically recommend Audio Technica or Shure but their options might be out of your price range. You might want to check out this Samson Meteorite, it should do the job.

i use a CHEAP zalman mic http://www.amazon.co.uk/Zalman-ZM-MIC1-ZMMIC1-Lapel-Microphone/dp/B00029MTMQ
apparently it's one of the best in the low end, and it's worked well for me. it does not have the shhh sound but it's still your voice. if you want something better you need a pop filter, and a mount for microphone and filter. and ofc a microphone that fits into the mount.

imho, go cheap first, then decide.
