MicroNauts - the comic - so you think this series would make a great movie?

MadRat

With all of the other Marvel comic books coming to the big screen, does anyone else think we'll see this series hit the screen? From the tyranny of Baron Karza to the code of the Acroyear warriors, Commander Rann and his Endeavor warship, the Time Travellers, Bug, Biotron, Microtron, the Phobos warriors, the Prometheus Pits, the invasion of Homeworld, the escape to Earth, Prince Argon's rebellion, Prince Shaitan's betrayal of Spartak, the anti-climatic battle between Argon/Oberon and Karza/Andromeda, Karza's defeat at the hands of the TT's... comics 1-22 are a dramatic power struggle between good and evil only to see darkness raise Karza from the dead to once again launch his invasions across the universe. This could be an awfully interesting movie done on an epic scale. I wonder if anyone even knows what I'm talking about...

Wow...I thought I was the only one that played w/Micronauts as a kid!!! We must be the same age, MadRat; mid 30's. 🙂

Micronauts roxored my boxor looooong before I ever touched a PC keyboard.

I used to have a huge collection of them.

I remember playing with one vehicle that, with battery power, would travel in a pool. It had a clear plastic sphere where the guy would sit and little fins that would push it forward and the sphere would spin too. It was very cool.

I am not sure what happened to them, I think my father got rid of them some years ago. I did find several of the guys though in an old drawer.

Memories of youth.

Dude! That was the SEACOPTER! You could sit one of the Action Figures inside to drive! 😀 I had that..played w/it in the bathtub many a time. I would interchange the Biotron parts with the Seacopter parts. Micronauts ruled my world back then. 🙂

I vaguely remember chopper blades on it. Wow. I wonder what else I forgot I had?

I know I had other vehicles. I just can't remember. I do remember looking in the Sears catalogue around Xmas to see what new stuff they had for them.

What's cool is the little men were made of metal, not plastic.

OMG!!! I just checked the list of pictures of vehicles.

I found the 3 I had:

Battle Cruiser
Galactic Cruiser
Hydro Copter

I think I am going bitch at my dad for getting rid of them. The ones I had were still mint.

Correction: "Acroyer" not "Acroyear" and the ship was named "Endeavor," not "Enterprise." No, you're not the only one who remembers. I loved the comics, even after they went to subscription only! Maybe ROM and the Dire Wraiths would make a good movie too. 😀

BTW, you can buy re-releases of some of the toys. Link

Good correction on Endeavor, but apparently Acroyear is Acroyear if you check my link... All of our memories are a little faded perhaps? 🙂

I did check your link. But I also ran a Google search on "Acroyer Micronauts" and found a bunch of stuff. Anyway, here's hoping they make a good movie!
