Haven't the OCZ Z-Drive and Supertalent RaidDrive already shown that PCI-E SSD's are going to make SATA III dead out of the gate? And SATA III is already useless to traditional mechanical HDDs. The only thing that could make SATA III viable is if it's substantially cheaper than PCI-E drives by the time both reach mass market availability. PCI-E SSD will be my next drive in a year or two.

That whole "synchronous" NAND comment has really peaked my curiousity...what does this bring to the table exactly? Lower latency?

that probably explains what all other SSDs do, i.e. all NAND chips are accessed in parallel in a similar fashion to RAID0.
