I've heard 8E chips can run at 133 at CAS2 fine and then reports that you can only get 133MHz working by switching to CAS3.

Anyone know exactly the CAS latency can 8E sticks run at when operating at 133Mhz?

depends, my -8e doesn't like getting near 124 with any timings. It varies with the stick, MB, etc. 133 is definitly not a sure thing for everybody.

i had 2 64mb sticks of -8E that ran at 148mhz at cas3. never explored the cas2 limit much, but it was around 124. preferred to run my 500E at 740 instead of 620 tho. great memory for being PC100.

I've got two 128 MB sticks of Micron PC100 that run 133FSB CAS 2
Both have the "-8E e" markings, maybe the litte means something?
