At this point in time no one should even think about buying a P67 - Z68 only
At this point in time the most reliable Z68 is ASrock, but fewer bios settings - but extensive bios settings not needed with SB
UEFI is both P67 and Z68 - needed for 3TB drives only
Why shouldn't anyone consider a P67 board? To me, Z68 isn't worth it. The Z68 is more expensive and has more features, but I don't see myself using them. Really, the Z68 only adds onboard processor video support and that SSD caching thing (I think).
Since I have a cheap SSD that will fit Win 7 + all of my programs (except games, media, etc) I don't see myself using the SSD caching thing. Cheap SSD's have come down enough to make that unnecessary to me, at least. Why buy a fast 20 GB SSD for $100 to "synch up" or whatever with a old mechanical hard drive when I can get a slightly slower, larger SSD and just use that for the same price? It would be a cool feature to have if SSDs were still very expensive, but it already seems outdated to me. I think it's capped at 40 GB SSD's anyway. There were also concerns about what/how often it evicted data from the buffer. Seems like trying to mix 2 separate storage formats would cause problems as well.
I don't see myself using the processor GPU feature, either. I guess if my video card dies, but I have spare cards sitting here that are old, but would probably be better than onboard graphics anyway. I'm not convinced about the dual integrated and discrete GPU processing. It seems "clunky" and you have to install and run the Virtu software. One of the reviews I read pretty much said that it failed at both saving power and increasing performance. Having your computer decide whether to run the integrated GPU or the graphics card seems like it would introduce an additional "step" that would slow everything down and lower performance. I very, very rarely transcode videos, so QuickSynch and all of that isn't really up my alley.
Of course, this is just my preferences, YMMV. Personally, I'd rather spend less to get a P67 than spend more for a Z68 with features I won't use. Someone correct me if I'm wrong; I'm far from an expert.

And usually boots much faster.
The UEFI boots much faster?
