They currently have the following:

AMD Vishera 8-Core 8350 4GHz for $199 + $40 off motherboard

AMD Vishera 8-Core 8320 3.5GHz for $169 + $40 off motherboard

AMD Vishera 6-Core 6300 3.5GHz for $129 + free motherboard or $40 off motherboard

Prices on the cpu's are cheaper than newegg and nice money off of a motherboard.

Yeah, the $129 deal seems like a winner to me, building a "Christmas system" for my son. I wonder if they have any of the 128GB Samsung 830 SSDs for $69 still around... That will leave me with only a 1+ TB Data drive to add in to complete the system build (have the rest of the components around here)

I am not sure why newegg is selling the fx-8350 for $219.99, when the msrp is $195
See http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...84&Tpk=fx-8350

I suspect they are trying to gouge people who don't pay attention to the price.

Looks like microcenter is asking $199.99 for the fx8350, which is better than newegg, but still higher than msrp.

newegg's pricing shoots up for any items that are selling fast. it's built into their system.

The 6300 bundles shows up full price in my cart, the others give me the discount though. Should I just walk in and buy instead of ordering online?

Man, maybe I should just start driving there now. Already 1pm. Anyways, For the $129 bundle price that shows on the wbepage, is that the price for both because that's not what it's showing in my cart.

That is the price for both, sometimes their website just doesn't reflect it in your cart as it hasn't updated on their servers yet. You should have no problem getting that price in the store.

Would jump all over this if there was one closer than 4 hours away...

Blah.

Just remember guys, the motherboards that are bundled with these Vishera chips 'might' need to have their bios flashed to support this cpu.

Its a good buy, but a 3570k is still cheaper with a similar $off for MB. Nice to have choices though.

The 6300 combo seems the best bargain here IMHO.

Print the web page with the combo deals. There was some confusion when I checked out (Madison Hts, MI store)

-----------------------
533182 GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-S2P AM3+ MATX 1 14.99 14.99
S/N:SN12384004XXXXX
POS Pricing Error
006759 AMD BOX AMD FX-6300 BLACK ED 1 129.99 129.99
HONORING BUNDLE PRICING PER JT
-------------------------

There is a rebate involved, so it all evens out, I guess.

For anybody needing a cheap PSU, they had the OCZ Stealth 500W refurbs, marked at $34.99, but rang up $27.99 (hell of a lot better than a "Diablotek" POS). The Inland keyboard/mouse combo was marked $11.99, but rang up $8.99. Who knows what other "invisible" sale prices they have.

Most of the combo deals are "in store only". That's why you can't add a combo deal to your cart.

Sure you can. Have always been able to get the combos to show up until recently, and even then whether it shows or not is a problem on MC's end, not that it's "In Store Only". Have done it more than a couple of dozen times myself.

You can "purchase" the combo online and then you have to pick up in store. The advantage to doing it this way instead of just walking in and finding a salesperson is that the combo will be waiting on you at the cust. serv. counter, no waiting except for the line ahead of you. And for a popular item/combo, doing it this way reserves it for you so it won't be sold out before you get there....and the order is good for 72 hours before they void it and put the items back in regular stock.

And while you provide a CC at the online checkout, the CC isn't actually charged until you get to the store. You don't even have to use the CC you "paid" with online--you can pay any way you'd like, another CC, debit, cash, whatever.

For example, I just put this combo into my cart.....still works:

How about that? Despite it being "In Store Only", the combo deal shows up. Neat, eh?
