Their circular has $5 off your first $5 coupon. Shipping is high, so pick it up at the store if your lucky enough to be near one.

if you research it a bit, you will find that it is (arguably) the worst DVD media available.

Yeah, but for free, it would worth getting just to experiment with (for something
that you don't plan to save anyway).

I bought some of these a couple of months ago. I have the pioneer A04 and I have only burnt 2 dvd-r so far. the first was on maxell media and it won't work. The second is using the khypermedia and it works fine.

Definately good for the price. I just wish I lived closer to microcenter.

Ew... a friend of mine got a bunch of these for FAR or somethin when he first got his A06 burner, and I'll just let the graph test I did when he was complaining they were not working do the talking...

Link to my results

Better off saving your gas money. Only good thing are the neat double slim cases they come in...

I bought an S***load of these a few months ago (the 1X variety) when they were on sale for .99 each.
So far, I have been able to use every one of the 20 I have used so far. I have an a05 burner.
To me, at this price, they are worth the risk, as long as you verify the data after you write.
Might be a software thing too. I only use nero for burning. the bundled pioneer software crashed with some nonsensical error on 2 different machines i installed it on. Go figure.

I have been using these and their RWs in my Sony DRU-500 for a months now without a problem, they burn just fine. I've also used the RWs in my Philips 985 without a problem. In Michigan, the coupon in the flyer is for $5 off $25. I bought over $100 worth of stuff, and when I got home I noticed the girl didn't apply the coupon. She had an attitude problem to begin with anyway. :|

These disks burn fine in both my Sony DRU-500 and my Optorite DD0203. The problem is with playback in settop players. The disks work OK in some settop players, but fail in others. I would seriously recommend that you avoid these disks. If you really need cheap, the 1x Princos are better and sell for less anyway.

KHypermedia - I've burned 6, but they don't play very reliably in my players. I've tried it on 2 PC dvd-rom players and 1 regualr dvd player. They didn't work in either pc player very well about 1/2 of the way into the disc. They played fine on my DVD player, but my DVD player is basically known to play anything and everything that you throw at it. I don't think I've ever had it not play a disc yet in 2 years, including non region-1 discs. Genica GN-800, if anyone cares. It was the only player they ever made, which is weird, cause it's been a really good player since I've had it. I'm pretty sure they don't make it anymore.

Anyway, Khypermedia = theSuck.
