I am weak. After recieving emails from buy.com and zipzoomfly.com stating that they will not be recieving E6600s until the 4th week of August, I gave in. My area microcenter had a couple 6600s for $359. I snatched one up over the lunch hour. No more stressing for me.

ZipZoomFly:
Greetings,
The item will be available the 4th week of August. Please put your email address in the " Back In Stock Alert " and if the item arrives sooner, you can be notified....thanks!

In the end, when I am dumping $1400 into a new system, an extra $40 somewhere isnt going to kill me. I just picked out the 7900GT with the mail in rebate instead fo the other model.

You lucky bastard!
Enjoy!

One last comment since the 6600 still seems hard to located today.

Microcenter will reserve a chip for up to 48 hours at their retail stores. If you cant decide or are not willing to go without, this might be a viable alternative.
