Wow, that's a relative steal, especially with mobo discount on top.

There's no reason that this shouldn't be the minimum CPU that people pick out for modern rigs.

I wish I lived closer to a Micro Center since they don't ship CPU deals.

I can't post a link since it's a storefront on Ebay (not Micro Center), but when I was over at Slickdeals, they often had great deals for CPUs (both AMD and Intel). They sell fix priced stuff like Newegg does on their storefront, so it's really not an auction in the true sense. Although I never ordered from them.

But they have the AMD Ryzen 7 1800X for $318. It looks like Newegg is selling it for $459.99. It's over on Slickdeals if anybody needs one.

Dang, it looks like Micro Center is selling 1800X for $329.99, then get another $30 off when bought with a motherboard. That is a killer deal (the 1600 in the OP is as well).

The 1600 is back to 189.99 but the 1600X is down to 179.99. No rhyme or reason to MC pricing. I'd get the 1600X but then I saw it doesn't come with a cooler.
