microATX choices for C2D?

Does anyone have any suggestions on a quality microATX board for C2D, and possibly the upcoming Quad-cores? I'm just curious to hear about real world results because I haven't seen much of anything that looks like it's a quality board.

probably because there isn't a great 1 out yet.

ABIT just announced a couple new Conroe mATX mobos. One of them looks to be based on the 965 chipset. The Hard Forum has a thread about them with some pics. I forget if its in their SFF section or Motherboard section. One of the two. It should be front page either way.

😕 Where? What ? I cant find the thread could you please link? I just ordered a Microfly case and a power supply and have been searching for a decent oc'ing c2d matx board...

I see the thread now, though no pics... but I cant find anything about it on Abits site at all... doing a Google search for the IB-90HD I found an Australian site that when I click on it the page comes up blank, but when I look at the cached page it has all the info about the board on it..

i use a microatx board with my core 2 duo.

got it during the $20 off $50 buy.com google thing.... for $70 shipped...

its an intel branded d946gzis. its very stable, was cheap, and best of all unlike the 965 boards... it can actually run most linux distros out of box, doesnt have any problem with IDE devices because it has a real IDE controller in the ich7 etc. the 946gz chipset also manages to use about 20 watts less power than a g965 when idle. i guess the g965 is pretty power hungry.

i would assume the p965 vs p946 would be about the same.

2 main drawbacks of it are... only 2 ram slots, and not overclocking , neither of which are much of a concern for me.. but could be for you.
