MicroATX Case

Hello

I am building a new MicroATX system and have a question regarding the case:

AMD Athlon 1Ghz
1Gb Memory
Abit VA-20
Seagate 40Gb 7200rpm
Seagate 80Gb 7200rpm
Samcheer SC-102 (Included 300Watt PSU)
3 SilenX 60mm Fans

The case comes with an included 300Watt PSU, the problem is it is rather loud and I hoped to replace it with a SilenX 300Watt MicroATX PSU.
But the dimensions of the PSU are 120x155x85 mm and the SilenX dimensions are 125x120x62 mm.
I really like the case but have not found a PSU with dimensions 120x155x85 mm?
I was hoping somebody has this case and found a quieter solution that fits the case or a way round the size difference.

Any help would be brilliant

What size fan does the psu use? You might be able to swap the fan in the included psu to something quieter. I doubt that system is going to be using even half of the available watts from that psu so heat shouldn't be too big of an issue...

Yea, that?s a very good idea.

I as stated above hoped to replace it with a better PSU but because it is propriety, I guess it would be nearly impossible to replace the whole unit.

Thanks very much for the idea

what case is that??

I just got one... that is Intel TAC Approved... And takes a REgular PS2 Power supply~
20 something bux.. pretty good deal! Great quality!
and looks good in my living room..

in your case if you like ur case so much, u can... Try buying some brackets! to adjust the interior of the case............ to Fit a REgular PS2.. Power supply~

I have an Enlight MicroATX case that came with a power supply that wouldn't work with an Asus A7N266-VM. I bought a SPI, (Sparkle), but it was too big. I had to modify the case by dremel-tooling the back to allow the PS to stick out. I also drilled several holes in the top between the CD-ROM case and the PS , to help with air flow.

The power supply does stick out in the back, but who notices that? I had to work with airflow issues in this case, but I finally got a cool-running, compact unit that is rock-solid stable.

i got

this mATX case

And installed an Antec 400W PSU.. Which is the same one I use for the Regular MIDTOWER i have in my office..
But anyways..

it says.. INTEL approved Thermally Advantanged Chassis.... so... Im still debating whether or not i should Go for the Dual Core.. Even though I still hav no idea who makes this case. CHenbro? or who..
