Simple yes or no will do. Are they the same specs? I have a pavilion here with a Asus A7V-VM with a bad keyboard port on it. Need to get rid of the motherboard. Was doing searches for uATX but then realized they look the same as a Micro Atx.

Are they the same?

Mostly...part of the difference is the power supply form factor size. The other thing is how many total pci/agp slots are on the board you have. Some micro boards have 3 or 4 slots, while some only have 1 or 2.

uATX/MicroATX cases have provisions for 4 slots, usually 1x AGP and 3x PCI. miniITX cases are the ones with 1 or 2 slots, like shuttles.

Anyone know why they use 'u' in uATX? Probably because its the close thing to looking like the Greek µ (mu) which is used as an abbreviate for "micro-" (Metric system and other fun stuff like that).

Most use mATX these days to stand for MicroATX instead of uATX, which was really only ever used by inveterate techies that know metric. Heck, most college grads these days don't even know english weights and measures very well - much less metric...
