I see a lot of people mostly talking about hard-drives, not little storage devices, in this forum subsection, but this technically falls under "memory and storage", so hopefully, this can stay.
Okay. I have this Micro sd card, that I use to transfer files between my comp and cell. It was working fine, until I plugged the adapter into my comp one day. In the window (I'm on Vista Sp2 64bit) that lists all my drives, when I would plug the adapter in, a removeable disk would pop up (like it did when the card worked). I went to open it, and it said to insert a disk, even though the adapter's plugged in. Yes, the sd is inserted into the adapter. The micro sd's not even being recognized by my cell. I'm guessing it's damaged somehow. I donno. The switch on the adapter isn't locked, so it's not that. I've checked the device manager, and everything's fine there. I've already Googled my problem, and tried all that. I'm pretty sure it's physically damaged. Maybe not though.
I can see why someone would maybe move this thread to Digital and Video Cameras, General Hardware, Peripherals, or maybe some other one. I just need help is all. Not mental help. Well maybe I do, but not here.
