Looks like you now have to check your settings if you are using the latest beta release to make sure Gator etc. are properly handled.

That is too bad - Gator was perhaps the worst of the early spywares. I destroyed it long before the first anti-spyware came out - used Roboform instead. It is genteel, useful and well behaved.

I still like Microsoft Anti-Spyware - but I don't rely on it alone. It stands guard - but once a week I close it and run Spysweeper. It looks at a lot more, but hasn't found anything that got by Microsoft.

Gator truly sucks. Maybe Microsoft is going to use some of their technology and can the product? Symantec has made a living doing that. :)
