End of lease. Looks like they'll have to find a "economically viable" location in Sta.Clara soon. :\

Glad I have 2 locations in the Chicago area. :awe:

sad. it gave me something to kill time while waiting to watch a movie at mercado 20... but given that there are other AMC locations that have opened up and mercado isn't as bad as a clusterfvck that it used to be, i really have no reason to go there.

oh and i bought my i7 920 and i5 2400 there. will be sad

This was the only location in NorCal.

And it was close to my work. :(

Wait. I don't think I've bothered visiting that store since about 1999. I retract my frowny face and replace it with an I don't care face.

move it to upstate NY please

Your wish will be granted.

From Microcenter's Facebook page:

We are very pleased to announce plans to add 4 new next-generation Micro Center stores in the next 18 months or so, and wanted our Facebook fans to be among the first to know! These new stores in Maryland, New York and Wisconsin, and more that are to follow represent the largest expansion in the history of our business, which currently operates 23 stores nationwide. We want to introduce our shopping experience to a whole new group of customers. Competitive pricing, a huge selection and associates that know what they are talking about are what we think our customers deserve. The first of these stores is in the Baltimore area, it will be 40,000 sq. ft. and is slated to open in November this year, followed by a 60,000 sq. ft. store in Queens, New York in mid 2013. Other stores, all part of our next-generation format will continue to open in late 2013 and on. We will keep you posted on how we’re doing. In the mean time, tell all your friends that live in these areas!

Edit: NM, I suck at geography, that isn't "upstate", is it? Oh well.

Queens, nice. I already have a *really* nice Microcenter 15 minutes away, and one ghettoish one about 30 minutes (+$12 toll) away. It would be cool to have another one so close to me.

Just replace the Best Buy store nearby with a Micro Center and I'll be very happy. ;)

ZOMG I won't have to drive 80 freakin' miles to the outskirts of Philadelphia, anymore! Awesome sauce!

Wisconsin? Hopefully in Milwaukee so it wouldn't be too far away and I wouldn't have to drive to the Chicago area stores. Besides longer drive, the fastest roads have tolls (doubled for your pleasure this past January) and the sales tax is higher too.

Same here. I won't know what to do with myself. Can't wait!
