Micro ATX power supply question

Hi guys,

I'm building a media server PC. I'm using micro ATX mobo. However, I bought ATX power supply because I didn't know that there is one for micro atx mobo. Will my atx psu work with micro atx mobo? I haven't received the mobo and the psu yet. But I can't change my order (on Newegg) anymore. Thanks.

It all depends on the size of the case that your are putting your mobo into. The mobo power connections are the same for ATX or micro-atx. It's just the size of the PSU relative to the size of the case that you have to worry about. Some micro-atx cases take stanard ATX power supplies.
