Micro atx in an atx case

Are there any disadvantages to matx boards other than less memory expansion and maybe space?

Just less pci slots and couple less sata ports. Stuff like that. My z68 matx board is in a huge case. Works fine.

$50 for a full atx seems like a steep premium, I'm not interested in crossfire/sli

$99 for a quad core combo is insane. You could seriously build a decent gaming rig for $500 these days.

Actually very common to use mATX motherboards like the ASUS Gene-Z in Midi ATX cases. No problem whatsoever.

It would be a problem if you tried to fit a ATX mobo in a mATX case though 😛

Any case suggestions? I need to keep case/power supply under $100. I know included ps tend to stink.
