I did a search for this topic but I couldn't find anything.

I've been seeing that a lot of people have had success unlocking cores on Phenom II X2 550's and X3 720's, and that there are certain mobos that tend to be better at doing this than others. If I were doing it I'd probably get the GIGABYTE GA-MA790X-UD4P. Just like the Giggy here, all the particular models I've seen mentioned are full size ATX. I'm wondering if anyone knows of any Micro-ATX boards that would be able to do this as well? Anyone have first hand experience?

Just search for mATX boards that have SB710 or sb750. SB710 or SB750 is a necessary condition, but not sufficient though, meaning once you narrow it down to these boards you'll have to see if the boards actually have successfully unlocked. I thought asus had a mATX that was sb710 based but I can't find it now

I believe this one can:

Thanks for the info Stoneburner! I did a search based on that, and it seems these may work (AM3 boards, AM2+/AM3 boards and AM2/AM2+/AM3 boards):

ASRock A790GMH/128M

Review from the Egg: "Pros: I got this board hoping to unlock my Phenom II X2 550 to a quad, and it did! It is very stable, and at reasonable temps ( mid 30's idle and high 50's load) considering I have very little cooling and am using the stock heat sink and fan."

DFI LP JR 790GX-M3H5

ASRock A780GMH/128M

So that's a few possibles. Anyone used any of the above boards or the one Stoneburner linked, or know of any others that may work?

the asrock one should be able to do it. asrock is big on providing those extra features to differentiate themselves .
