Just came back from Microcenter (Tustin, CA). Here's what they got in the ad.

$199 SMC 7004AWBR Barricade
+FREE SMC 2632W Wireless PC Card ($99 value)

This is NOT a rebate deal. They actually just give you the card right there and charge a penny for it on the reciept. The cheaper price is whether or not they have one on the shelf as an open box. MC always takes their returns and marks it down some random number and then tosses them on this shelf in the back. I found one for $149 so it cost me $162 after tax for both the router and card.

Review: PracticallyNetworked.com

Note:
Wow. What misleading advertising. It says "4Port router" all over the box but it really is only 3ports. They count the wireless as the 4th port. Pretty stupid...

Edit: Ended up ebaying it because of it only being a 3 port. Too bad cause its a great router.

The card will ring as a $.01 sale.
Can you pricematch that to Compusa?

Any rebates out there for this?

you can always do what I did....
return the junky router which kept dropping connection and get the linksys for the same price.
all the while, keeping your 1 cent card.

I have been using this router for months and never have any problems with it.

IMHO, number of ports does not matter, you buy this baby for its wireless capability. You can hook up 20 PCs if you have 20 wireless cards...
