Well, who is going to win it this year? As a life-long Michigan fan, I am very much looking forward to the Wolverines going into the 'Shoe and sending the Buckeyes to the Capital One bowl.

GO BLUE!!

If there is one thing I will never tolerate, it is being called a hippie.

So will the Buckeyes get their heads out of their butts and finally right the offensive ship or will we have a repeat of '95 and '96? :D

GO BLUE!

Damn straight. I need as much help down here in the ATL as I can get. All of my friends that live down here are OSU fans. We are having a nice little get-together on Saturday.

We have had problems with our offense on the road this year, but this game is in the 'Shoe. Watch out for Jenkins on 4th down.

Go Blue!

<---Cheering from the Fishbowl....huge computer center on campus.....and will be here alllllllll daaaaaaaay.

But seriously...I don't know if we have the firepower to take them over. I mean, look at the games we've played all season...it's all too close. More than likely, Carr will start out too conservative, as usual, and we won't be able to catch back up.

Still hoping for an upset tho :)

The reason that OSU has done so well on O at home is because they have played the likes of Texas Tech, Kent State, Indiana, San Jose State, etc. They certainly didn't exactly light it up at the Shoe against PSU. I think that if OSU is going to win this game, Krenzel is going to have to beat them. Clarett is still banged up and the Michigan run D is much better than the secondary.

I personally think Ohio State will lose by 7.

As many of you know I have a computer ranking program that I use just for fun. It says on an average day, at a neutral field, Ohio State will win by 6. However, this isn't a neutral field - so bump that lead up to 9 on an average day. Thus it predicts that there is a 80% chance that Ohio State will win. Teams generally don't have average days, sometimes they play well and sometimes they play poorly. Realistically you need to add +- 10 points to any prediction. Thus the computer predicts that the score will be somewhere in this range: Ohio State wins by 19 to Michigan wins by 1 point. I admit that is a broad range, but it does say there is an 80% chance that Ohio State will win (most likely by 9).

That said, I think Ohio State will lose.

Hmmm... I guess you just forgot about Washington State, currently #3 in the BCS. 25-7. We made Texas Tech our b|tch, and they recently beat Texas, who until then was what? #3 and tied for #4 in the AP/ESPN (not necessarily in that order).

I didn't forget. While that win is impressive, scoring 25 points against WSU is not. And you saw what Texas Tech D looked like last week too. I never doubted the OSU D, what I am saying is that their O is not exactly outstanding and the premise that the Buckeyes O plays better at home is padded by wins against sub-par teams with poor defenses (not WSU).

It's going to be a great game. But I think we're ignoring the biggest factor here: no John Cooper

No kidding. If Cooper was still coaching, this game would be a foregone conclusion (michigan win). But Tressel is different, so Michigan will still win, but it's not going to be guaranteed :)

I can't wait :). My girfriend bleeds scarlet and grey, I bleed maize and blue :D :D :D. Regardless of who wins, one of us isn't going to hear the end of it.

GO BLUE!

I'm ready for an upset. If Navarre has a good game, we will win. If not, we lose. I really think it's that simple.

I think our D can contain OSU's anemic offense, it's our offense that hasn't exactly been consistent lately. Askew and Perry aren't too hot against solid defenses, so the game is in Navarre's hands.

It's going to be a defensive battle. I bleed scarlet and grey (when I don't bleed 10W40 motor oil), and I have to admit that OSU's offense has been something less than spectacular this year. Still I think that OSU's defense can shut down that team up north for the most part. And with that team up north's kicking game being what it is I think that OSU will be able to keep the points down. The big question though is whether or not the offense can start firing on more than one cylinder. Clarett will be back for that game though, Tressel kept him out of the Illinois game precisely for that reason. Even if Clarett isn't 100%, Hall can run pretty damn well too, though Tressel has not seemed to want to play Hall. Jenkins, Vance, Gamble, and Childress are quite good receivers too, and Krenzel tends not to make too many stupid mistakes. I think that OSU can get things righted and take the game, but it's definitely not going to be high-scoring.

I've got a feeling Ohio State's going to fold under the pressure. Michigan's been playing better as the season's gone along.

I wouldn't put money on it though. :)
