off on a tangent here but did anyone catch the Michigan / OSU special on HBO? pretty good watchin. It is interesting to see that Woody & Bo were so tight through those great rivalries.

hopefully they find a coach that cares about the OSU / Mich games as much as Tressel :)

it'll be great if they pick up Miles and still get their ass handed to them by them Buckeyes. :D can't stop a rolling killer nut, not now. :p Especially with Tressel at the helm.

That's gotta be a distraction heading into the SEC Championship game even if the interview isn't until afterwards. I still expect LSU to win though. Tennessee's defense plays atrociously.

This is a win-win situation for me.

Miles stays at LSU & destroys their program...bonus for Auburn. :)
Miles goes to Michigan & destroys their program...bonus for Ohio State. :)

Nebraska is reportedly down to the LSU Defensive Co-Ordinator, Bo Pellini, and the Buffalo Head Coach Turner Gill. I think it is Pellini's job unless he blows the interview after the SEC Championship game.

Pelini's a douchebag. Gill would be a great choice.

With what he's done at Buffalo, I agree. But the fact that Nebraska is waiting for Pellini makes me think they are leaning his way.

Oh, I hope they hire Pelini, because I think he'll piss down his leg.

as much as it's fun for Michigan to suck, I miss the days when they were a very highly rated team and it was HUGE for OSU to beat them. That had more glory than this 5 game win streak where OSU has wiped the turf with Michigan. However, I'd want them to be strong and top rated and still continue to lose season after season, but them being a highly rated team each season would make each loss very meaningful. Of course, they can't be too top rated if their main rival continues to wipe them season after season, and the glory, and recruits, start heading to the winning school. OSU has already seen that happen quite a bit. Except a local kid, one of my good friends younger brother, was recruited by both OSU and Michigan and even after a good visit to OSU, ended up choosing Michigan because he and his family have been fans of UM all their life. bummer, he was the star at my high school last year and the year prior.

Not me. I hate Michigan almost as much as I hate Bama and my hatred for Bama is such that if Al Queda formed a football team coached by Bin Laden himself and was playing Bama...I'd root for Al Queda.

UT's D was more effective vs Ark than LSU's so right now it's a push.

I can't believe any Mich fan would really want Miles to be their coach. Do you like losing to OSU?

Tennessee only wins when people think they are going to lose. They do have a horrid defense, except when they step up for certain occasions (e.g. Arkansas).

That's because Arky can't pass. LSU can throw the ball around better than Arky...UT's secondary should be exposed...then again it is a Les Miles coached team.

Yep. Anytime UT has gone up against a team with even a decent passing game they've been torched through the air. They made John Parker Wilson look like a Heisman candidate as Alabama pretty much did nothing but throw the entire game.

an auburn/ohio state fan. how cute. how the fuck does that happen? I assume you've only watched college football since bama has been owned by AU, and UM has been owned by OhioSt.

From what I've heard Pelini is a lousy recruiter.

um... I actually only caught the last half of the show... :/
but it is somewhat done in chronological order, so yeah they do mention Carr but there is much more about the Bo / Woody days. there are a lot of celebrity alumni from both schools that talk about the rivalry and some of the games. quite cool

I grew up in Ohio as an Ohio State fan, went south to Auburn for school in 1992. No, I haven't been following OSU since Tressel (the Cooper years were miserable). I was at Auburn for Dye's last year (that was painful) and during the Tater Tot regime (wish I could forget that). So take your fair weather fan comments and shove them tahdhigh.
