michigan snowfall

well it started snowing today in my area, port huron area. Just a very light snow fall, but still enough were you have to slow down and be farther away from the person in front of you. But im curious about how many michiganders are going to crash or end up off the highway or in a ditch because they think they cabn still go 70mph+ on the higway and not thing anything will happen to them

yeah when i left school today down in troy, it wasnt snowing, but as i got closer to saint clair county, it started to snow more. Do you guys think that alot of michigan people forget how to drive in the winter season? I sure do think so, if you are living in michigan you should know how to drive during the winter season, it seems like people forget how to when spring and summer comes.

We've gotten nothing in Rochester Hills

I will be back home for thansgiving. If I see you or lola, forgive me if I call you by your screen name 😉

You won't see us cuz we'll be in Mexico on vacation 😛

Screw the BS of driving to 3 different houses in one day, never eating dinner at any of them, and spending more time on the road than enjoying the holiday.

Boo! Maybe at xmas then. Yes, I am stalking you two now 😉

I find that most people that are careless driving in snow are those WOMEN mostly in BIG suv's thinking they are invincible.
I see more H2/H3's in the ditch than anything in the winter on I75 in SE MI. those and Yukons.

It will be hard to find us as we do not "go out" that much, except for a few home improvement stores, and the Golden Eagle.

all kinds of accidents here last night with the first snowfall of the season.
just slow down people.

I did 72 on I86 last night. Road surface was just fine - except for bridges. My younger son questioned why I took my foot off the gas before I hit bridges; I explained it to him.
The rest of traffic was moving around 45-50 mph. Several wrecks, EVERY one of them when they went over a bridge (none of the bridges are very long.) #1 rule: Don't slam on the brakes on icy surfaces. The only time I slowed down significantly (I slowed down to 15mph) was for a bridge on an offramp that was on a curve. I'd normally take it at 55-60, but I'm not stupid.
