Judge Kristen Simmons is a Black woman.

Reading the NYT report is infuriating. The judge said intent is not provable; but the crux of her argument is that they were seeking "redress" based on their sincere beliefs of election fraud.

I just need to firmly and sincerely believe nonsense to go out and commit crimes, without consequences?

(This isn't about stupidity; those mofos knew exactly what they were a part of.)

Is this the latest expansion of the religious exemption to law concocted by the Supremes? “I felt like the law shouldn’t apply to me so I ignored it.”

I hate the ruling and think it is wrong but this judge was appointed by Whitmer. Probably not a MAGA nazi.

That's the part that blows me away--you expect to see this type of thing happen in Florida or Texas. You don't expect it from freaking Michigan.
