she's going to be one crazy talent when she turns pro

EDIT:

HOLY CRAP THIS IS A MENS SCOREBOARD!!!
i think in the future, she's the only player that can compete w/ the mens' distance...soremstam doesn't even have a chance in terms of distance....

Wait, what? It skips from 64 to 81....

Now, I know about the big gap between womens/mens golf, but pray tell, what in the hizzell are you guys talking about? :)

Well.. it's not only the gap between womens' and mens' golf that's being transcended here...

Michelle Wie is only 14! As far as I know, there is never been a male golfer who has made a PGA Tour cut at that age. In fact, Bobby Jones is the only golfer that comes to my mind who was successful in professional tournaments at such an early age.

now who is this person?

A 14 year old girl from Hawaii.

Very impressive to say the least. Assuming she keeps her discipline, she will certainly be able to compete with the men in 5 years.

I saw this on the news today. She choked on some fairly close putts. I just think the crowds made her nervous. She will settle down in time. I wish her well......:sun:

Oh that wasn't the question?

The appropriate response would be..."I'd stroke it".

She said in an interview last night that the crowds do not make her nervous rather, when there are no crowds, that is what makes her nervous.

national TV, crowds, the anticipation, the event, the top players of the world around her.....

i donno man, i think that'll make a lot of people barf from nervousness hehehe

and she still pulls off a 68 on the 2nd round...truly incredible for any 14 year old...it requires sooo much discipline...

I've seen pics...trust me she's not worth the jail time!

Hence the "stroke" it and not "hit it" comment ;)

*when* she turns pro? I thought she was just playing in the PGA and didn't make the cut by 1 stroke. Sounds to me like she already turned pro.

She was allowed in on a sponsor exemption. If she goes "full blown pro", she can no longer play in high school or college competition. She has aspirations for playing for some college team and has no intentions of going full time pro until she is out of college.

At least that's the last I heard.

that is true. She also cant get endorsement deals, however she CAN get free equipment from sponsors.
