Well, you have to be claiming that the sound file is fake if you're not just exhibiting a common aspect of right wing belief, that being denial.

There's been plenty of time for Bachmann's mouthpieces to issue clarification, modification or retraction, none of which have occurred.

It's apparently what she said, and she apparently believes it.

That was two or three generations ago. It was deplorable. I'll agree that we need to pay attention to prevent anything like that, but Bachmann's accusations are utterly scurrilous.
