Michelin Tire: 89H VS 91H. Can I mix these?

I have a 2000 Accord with factory tires. Due to a blow out, I need a new one.. I have a Michelin XSE M&S P195 65R 15 load 89H. Sams has a the exact same tire but at a 91H load range. Sams says he would install it but not really recommend the mixing of 89 and 91 even if they are both front or both back.. Any tire experts that can address this.. I can't find the 89H anywhere..

Why don't you replace all 4? The wear is probably uneven anyway.

Is the sizing exactly the same?

It makes sense that you can't use one tire with a different rating, but I don't see what's wrong with putting two of the same on the front or on the back.

As long as the size is the exact same and the tread pattern is very similar, then it shouldn't be an issue. Same manufacturer and model is a plus. The difference between 89H and 91H is almost non-existent.

edit: Sams is just trying to sell more tires. As the used tires have slightly worn tread, they will have a slightly different circumference than the new tire. This is your real issue. Make sure that the new tire goes on the rear, on the front there is a VERY slight possibility that it could screw up your FWD.

the easy way i fixed having one tire with more tread than the other was to do a nice burnout with it. Got rid of my slight pull from having one tire bigger than the other :)

Everything is exactly the same except for the 89 vs 91. The tire blew out because there was a crack in the rim. I had the factory tire blow out beacuse it kept loosing air but the tire guys could not find a leak. Got a new tire and that kept getting low... Les Schwab finally found out it was a cracked rim (honda factory rim) and the air was leaking from the rim and not the tire..
