You think this only happens on tv...

http://www.slashfood.com/2009/11/12...ake-sonic-gunman-terrorizes-lunch-customers/>

A manager of a Sonic in St. Joseph, Mo., recently staged a lunchtime mugging, recruiting someone to enter the restaurant with a real-looking toy gun and hold it to an employee's head.

"If you're going to do this," he added, "At least do it when customers aren't there."
right, because a guy with a gun in the sonic in the middle of the night would seem natural

Would have been worse if the cashier was packing a real gun.

Or a customer. I carry my gun everywhere, given the chance to take a shot I'm going to take it. You never know if a robber is going to snap and start shooting people.

I'd sue that company for all it's worth if they made me kill any innocent man. That would mess me up bad.

I'm pretty sure you would get your ass thrown in jail for a long time if you decided to do that in a real robbery, especially if you live in a blue state.

yay for unnecessary vigilantism.

Yes, this is the reason for concealed carry, to allow for citizens to stand up for other citizens. But there are times when it is appropriate, and times when standing by is the more appropriate action. It can be a tough call, and that is why everyone needs thorough development on proper decision making. Carrying a weapon doesn't automatically grant you the right to shoot, without question, every time a crime may be witnessed.

Note: I'm completely in favor of concealed carry, and in favor of appropriate justice.

No, but my line is when my life is in danger. A guy with a gun in a store I'm in waving it around threatening people = my life in danger.

Browns chicken anyone? You never know if the guy is going to start shooting. It's best to take him down as soon as it is reasonably safe to do so. Now if I see a guy running from a walmart and a employee yelling stop, thief. I'm not going to put a few holes into him. In fact I'll probably just keep on walking.

Everyone has their own threshold. For me it's when I think my life is in immediate danger. If you are 'robbing' the store I'm in waving a gun around, I'm going to conciser that immediate danger. If I think I have a chance to get a shot off I'm going for it.

Honestly, I don't carry a gun to protect those around me. I carry to protect myself and my family. Luckily for me, I live in a state that lets me protect myself first and foremost. If a man had a gun and was threatening people with it, I don't see a reason you should just stand by a wait to see what happens.
