Moore Stayed Quiet About Prisoner Footage

I used to like the guy... now, my view of him has been skewed towards a selfish, greedy, manipulative jerk only out to promote his own agenda. How could you keep something like that quiet?

I'm still going to see F9/11, but still... this is disappointing.

Sorry if it's a repost, I searched for "Moore", "Michael Moore", and "Prisoner Footage".

I like his comments on how his movie shouldn't get the "R" rating that it deserves - it should be "PG-13" so that young people can see the "truth". Oh please.
 
If he did release it, you would post that he did it for publicity for his movie. Then you'd claim that he shouldn't have done it because it lowers morale for the country and makes us look bad. It's a no-win.

Well, I didn't want people to think I was just looking for publicity by releasing this footage.
Nevermind the fact that now right when the movie is coming out, I'm going to get on all the news stations and talk about why I didn't release the footage.

Come on dems, can't you see that he is only hurting your credibility. He's worse for the democrats than Pat Robertson is for the republicans.

Actually CBS aired the footage about a year before the 60 Minutes piece but no one really cared. For some reason it struck a chord with the 60 Minutes piece.

If you think Michael Moore was the only person to have this footage then I think you're overestimating his importance a bit.

I meant to give an opinion on Michael Moore, which is pretty much the subject of this thread.
I forgot we were in OT, but since Moore makes his living by being an ultra liberal activist masquerading as a documentary film maker, any thread with his name in it can't help but become political.

I'm used to the Michael Moore threads in P&N where there are almost no reasonable people, only extremists on one side or the other.

My point was simply to comment on the OP's topic of Moore's statements regarding the footage. My opinion is that by going public with this now and talking about why he didn't release the footage, he is doing exactly what he claims he didn't want to be seen as doing.

Since we aren't in P&N, I should have left my last comment out. But I was thinking of the ultra libs that frequent P&N, constantly defend Moore, and think anyone who criticizes him has a right wing agenda. I wasn't trying to bash democrats and I know a lot of democrats are not Moore supporters. Hell, I even pointed out a right wing extremist who I hate. AND I voted for Bill Clinton twice.

No, I know that is not the case at all. I should have phrased it differently because when I said "dems", I really didn't mean that. What I meant was "sygyzy and the other Moore fans".
 
Moore is a liar that makes up 'facts' I do not think anybody could trust him, for whatever reason I doubt he had any footage and just sat on it. He is the type of guy that would use everything and anything to blast Bush and Co.
