Michael Moore through a private trust owns stock in Haliburton, Boeing, and various HMOs?

Aside from Fox, doubtful. It will be interesting to see if it does though

And Bill O'Reilly is any different. Stop being so partisan and call out both sides.

Another topic about hypocrits

I have been reading this board daily for over 2 years, and the Tech forums since 98. But rarely post because the blind partisanship is sickening. If the pot is black call black, reguardless of the party.

IMHO you are spending too much time worrying about the lies of a *bad* filmmaker and not enough time worrying about the lies of our President and his cabinet.

I never expected anything else from Moore but I certainly expected more from the US and it's leaders.

One is fictional, the other is not.
Much like the reality Moore lives in.

How is O'Relliy writing a fictional book that includes pedophilia and making money on it not the same as Moore making money on haiburton. Moore talks bad about halburton while O'Reilly talks bad about almost everything sexual in society.

I believe Moore adressed Halburton in F911. For the record I can't stand Moore or O'Reilly, they are two sides of the same coin.

For those that will say "Oh well why don't you worry about O'Reilly " etc... they can make a thread about it, this thread is about Moore.

Say it aint so!

When did Moore say not to buy stock in Haliburton?

lmao

What? He never spoke highly of Haliburton, but never said not to buy stock in them. I'm sure you own stock in companies that donate to "librul" candidates.

I guess this falls under the John Kerry Federal Tax program.

You know, complain the rich arent paying enough while taking advantage of every loophole one can find to keep your federal tax rate near poverty levels while raking in millions?

You dont need an explicit call to arms, your actions are doing enough.

Did anyone even read the article?

Peter Schweizer:Michael Moore is constantly trying to prove his and the Left's moral superiority, so he says things about himself that are patently not true. He's pathological about it. How else to explain that he's loudly proclaimed no less than three times that he doesn't invest in the stock market because it's morally wrong while quietly picking up shares in a whole host of companies. A portfolio that includes Halliburton, Boeing, and HMOs doesn't fit the bill so he lies about it.

I did some Googling, and didn't find any other mention of this (I'm going to look some more), but assuming it's correct it is hypocritical in the extreme. Moore has mentioned that he's morally opposed to the stock market, and loudly pilloried Halliburton in books and film (most notably, Fahrenheit 9/11). Now it comes out that he invests in Halliburton (which is, to be fair, probably pretty profitable) and HMO's (the subject of his next film, Sicko).

There isn't any evidence that he has displayed the proves Micheal Moore owns Haliburton Stock. He's just being a partisan hack and assuming the worst just like the extreme left assuming Bush is to blame for everything.
