Perhaps it's time to take down the posters of him from my bedroom? Not much to look up to. I liked it better when I knew jack about his personal life and he was the god of basketball.
LOL, I don't know whether to laugh b/c this post seems so outrageous or for the fact that I THINK that you are really being serious:Q
Dude, I always used to think of MJ as the perfect example of an athlete with class. We don't see a lot of class anymore, especially in this league. Okay okay, I understand this is nowhere near as bad as when OJ first got arrested for murder (a lot of his fans/colleagues couldn't believe it.) But c'mon, this is Jordan! He had a TV cartoon and a cereal (along with Bo Jackson and Wayne Gretzky!!) He was in a Looney Toons movie! This really DOES deal a big blow to his fans...especially since so many of them RESPECTED HIM for not being another Sprewell or Iverson etc. I don't really care what he does with his d!ck, as long as its not a mere TWO YEARS after getting married!!!
Agreed. I was being serious actually - I always saw MJ as a great role model and athlete...but lately it hasn't been pretty for him off the court. Not to mention, he aparently doesn't spend much time with his kids (no shock there I guess?). I didn't see him as my role model in life or anything, just sports, but I always thought he was a good guy. That's not to say he isn't because he had an affair and all the other crap, just diminshes my respect for him as a person - which I suppose doesn't matter, but I grew up watching MJ and even went to a Bulls game with my dad as a 'quick weekend trip' (only time we've ever done that :Q) in '98 vs. the Jazz in the regular season (I was hard core), so it's disappointing. I have had those posters up since I was little - relics from my childhood. They'll be coming down when I move in July...no need for bare walls now, but damn. Well, either way, he's the best damn basketball player ever.
