What do you guys think of this? He wants to play with Barkley and they are saying that this is almost "90% sure" going to happen... I personally think he should stay retired.. I mean, what better way to retire than how he did? The last shot of the last game of the last season of him playing, and hitting that?? How much better could it get?

Although if he comes back and his badass as ever, then it would be definitely cool to watch the games.. but just as long as he isn't a "has been" which I doubt would happen..

If he comes back and wins it again, there would be no doubt, no doubt whatsoever of who the greatest player ever is.

He'll have to sell his stake in the Wizards won't he (ie. can't play and own at the same time)?

Cheers,

Yes, he would have to sell his stake.
Everyone is denying the SI story, I'll believe it when I see it.

They said the two obstacles would be

1) selling his stake in the Wizards ( which involves a lot since it's not only that, but he's part of some investment group owning more than just that)

2) convincing his wife..

I heard about this on the radio this morning. Personally I'd love to see him play again. The guys is freaken amazing, but he's like 38 now. He's at that age now where is skills have already declined to some degree. I don't want to seem him start struggling and then not get the respect he diserves when he retires again....

Don't do it Mike...

Oh and Linh, there's no doubt in my mind that MJ is already the greatest B-ball player that ever lived....

On CNN, Michael stated that he would never say "never," but he did say that there is a 99.9 percent chance that he is not coming back. He can't own the Wizards and play at the same time. He would have to sell his 10% of the team. He's also in a great contract that will let him own 20% of the team in a few years, so I don't think he will.

He wanted to spend time with his wife and kids, and thats what he is doing. He seems happy and content. Also, many years ago he would only play for Phil Jackson.

The reporter who wrote the story that you are referring to misquoted Michael's statements.
