Mic issues

I am having issues with my my where every system sounds is trasmitted out through the mic. I have headphones so it is not as if the mic is picking up the speakers it just transmits any system sound back out.

I have tried this with multiple mics and reinstalled my realtek drivers and updated to the newest ones. Has anyone had this issue? Was thinking it was something on my motherboard but I am hoping not.

Also, when i test the mic it will echo everything.

I had Grado headphones, and my son wanted to communicate w/ players on the COD servers, so we bought a Logitech mic. I'm fairly computer-literate, and simply could NOT get that darn mic working.

We ended up getting the Logitech G35 Headset(wired). Wow, it's been great. Super sound localization... if you are considering this route, I would not get the wireless Logi headset...the reviews have not been great...

For music listening, I prefer the Grado headphones. But for gaming and 2-way communication, that Logitech G35 has been super for us.
