ok well I bought a mic so I could talk in cs and stuff...it's a $10 cheapo one...which I thought would do fine for what I wanted to do...but anyways in windows and when I go into voice_tweak.exe in the half-life folder it sounds great...but when I get into the game...everyone says that my voice is choppy...it's kind of like if you take my voice and turn the sound off and on at random times...is it my connection that's causing it? I'm on 56k and usually I get a 250-300 ping and with usually no packet loss...but the thing that gets me...is that I had a headset (which broke later on) and people could hear me clearly...my ping and packet loss was about the same...and it'd work fine...however when I was using the headset I was also using the on-board ac-97 audio...I'm now using an audigy...also when I go to different servers it doesn't change...so is it the headset or some option I don't have on in cs or what?
