Miami

I'll be headed to Miami for a conference next week. We won't be staying in South Beach...but at the Hilton that is on the Beach between South and North beach.

I haven't been down there in a couple of years, so I'm wanting to know what some cool places to go are (Anywhere along the beach or even elsehwere).

I'm going with a couple of other guys from our company who are definitely in for some drinking, but are more the bar/pub type than the club type.

I'm 27, the guys I'm going with are late 30's...but pretty much alcoholics.

Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

They are alcoholics...but also idiots. If anything I'm the one whos going to be getting them to go somewhere other than the hotel bar.

but uh, on a more serious note, there are always parties going on and bars to go to (that's just about the only thing there is, really). i'm not sure if the weather will be good for much else.

you might want to check out http://www.empireevents.com/ for a listing of places to go and events to be at, especially if you want to have a good time and possibly meet a few famous folks.

miami sucks. south beach is better. I live near the keys in south miamidade county. There is absolutly no beach access where i live because of the mangroves(damn enviromentalists).

Just walk down lincoln ave on south beach you will have fun! Oh and the obligatory ocean drive.

There are a few nightclubs that just opened downtown near the design district.
