Miami Vice

When is Hollywood going to come up with some fresh ideas? And they think DVD burners and online piracy is their problem.

Its a Michael Mann movie, how can it be bad...?

Lots of music, cool aerial shots, very slick looking...all the elements of a MMann flick

I for the most part hate Phil Collins, but they better have the song "In the Air Tonight" in it if they want this movie to feel anything like Miami Vice.

and they better have Day-Glo

This can be redeemed if they have a lot of 80's music (GTA: Vice City-esque)

That alone would help me ignore the horrible dialogue and vacuous plot which it is sure to have.

BTW, Michael Mann was one of the executive producers of the old Miami Vice TV show, so I'm sure he knows what he's doing 😉

I don't get it. With this cast and director, this project would seem to have the credentials to be a legit movie in its own right, without resorting to throwing a TV title on it.

Or are we in some bizarro world where being a TV--->movie remake is still a selling point and not an automatic MAJOR SUCKAGE ALERT? 😕

So this is like the Bad Boys (1995), but suckier?

That's what it looked like to me. Just take out Will Smith and Martin Lawerence, put in Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell, and then have them do the same crap they did in Bad Boys or Bad Boys 2, and call it Miami Vice.

LOL, yeah. Bad Boys rocked like no other!!! Bad Boys 2 went too way over the top with the gore. I expect Miami vice to fester somewhere around BB2 in suckage.
