miami has their traffic management down bigtime

Just got back from a week in miami (pics later today) and WOW ... even though there were ridiculous amounts of people there, there was almost no traffic ever. The only time I was actually stopped in traffic was when there was a huge accident. Their little ramp that cross back over the road are amazing.

On the other hand, I don't know how all those creepy homeless people survive. There are tons of wierd people down there.

That second pic is of this CRAZY squirrel at cracker barrel. It would eat right out of your hand and let you pet it...

You haven't stayed there long enough. Did you just stick to Miami Beach?

I lived in Miami for 20 years and go back to see my family every year and the traffic is still horrible.

I have to go down to Miami to work, I always get stuck in traffic, I despise Miami

Traffic management?? What fantasy world are you living in, Peter Pan? The traffic is mind numbing and among the worst in the country.

I only have to deal with a 5 or 10 mile snarl of traffic on my commute to work, and it drives me bananas some days. I'd hate to see traffic in Miami.

The traffic light syncronization has been tuned and continually worked on for the past 10 years.

Public works has the major arterials timed according to the posted speeds with adjustments according to the time of day.

The biggest problem is the volume of traffic is more than the roads are designed for.

you can go to any major city and find areas or certain times during which there's little to no traffic. i live in miami (go to school in NY) and i hate the traffic down there - it's absolutely ridiculous. what makes it worse is that there's no decent public transportation system. the icing on the cake is the fact that miami drivers don't know how to fo fvcking drive.
