The one I have(bought it off eBay) requires external power to work and even then it doesn't charge the phone.
The phone detects it as a slow charger which doesn't put enough juice into the phone to charge it will displaying video. If I'm lucky the battery level hovers but most of the time it drains.
Are there any good, responsibly priced MHL adapters what can keep the battery charged? I'm not going to pay $50 for a Samsung adapter. For that price I could buy a roku stick and screenshare wirelessly.
