MGSV Replaces Arkham Knights with new GPUs

Looks like Arkham Knights is going to be replaced with Metal Gear Solid V.

The info originates from Reddit and was confirmed by Newegg, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will replace Batman: Arkham Knight in NVIDIA’s promotional deal.

Hey that is exciting, maybe it will be Nvidia optimized. MGS5 is the game I can't wait to run through my 970.

MGS5 is Gameworks which I admitted heavily factored into me going Nvidia again. Huge MGS fan and this being the first one day 1 for PC I'm buying the CE for PS4 (to go into my collection) and gonna just play the PC version max settings!

I can't wait!

Ahh man, that sucks. Besides textures not loading, I didn't experience that many problems playing through B:AK. (Excluding having to tweak the ini to allow >30FPS. Like WTF we're they thinking???) Would have definitely preferred being gifted MGSV but B:AK was a gift so...

Like my mother always said, "be thankful for what you have or complain about it on forums".

The dark knight versus a dude and a knife, IMO. I've had more fun with the Arkham games than I ever had playing a MGS game. I have no doubt B:AK will be fixed in September when Rocksteady re-releases it. Until then, I'm plenty busy on Elite, Star Citizen, Kerbal, and Dirt Rally. :twisted:

Bought a Geforce 960 from Staples on a slickdeal right before the MGSV announcement--should be delivered today.

The Staples listing didn't mention any bundled game--neither AK nor MGSV. Is this the type of thing where if there's no game code, I'm SOL, or can I contact Nvidia with a proof of purchase to get a game code? If I get AK, is there any way to switch it to MGSV? Think I'd have luck going In-Store to see if they have the same card + MGSV and asking for a trade?

The Staples price was good enough that I don't care if it doesn't come with the game, but if there's any way to sweeten the deal, I'm all for it.

According to Nvidias site the bundle is for the 960 and up. Basically the entire 900 line.
