I've had this psu for about 2 years now, so far as I know nothing is wrong with it. The power in its old location wasn't grounded however. Should I replace it? It will be powering an E6300 with 2gb of ram, 2 hds and 1 optical drive. Thanks.

EDIT: It's 500w

Get something better, it has 5V@40A but a pathetic 12V@19A. All bling no substance.
Use it and you will have gar-oon-teed instability. If not right away...Soon.
Being ungrounded would not harm the PSU.

Shoot! The 400W Enhance ENP-5140GH has 12V@28A. Plan on spending $50~$70 for a good PSU.

You post no video card. So get a Seasonic 380W or 430W or try using the MGE. Their high end units were not that bad.
They are out of business now.

Whoops, right now I have an ATI X850 but I plan on moving to an Nvidia 8k series hopefully. I am looking at a PC Power and Cooling ultra quiet 610w psu. Are they worth the extra money?

I can not comment on PCP&C, as I have done little reading of their reviews.

A Corsair 520HX would carry that system with ease and the 620HX would give lots of headroom. Read reviews at http://www.jonnyguru.com/ > Reviews.

The Ultra X-Pro 600W is a very good unit. Single 12V rail at 36A. http://www.silentpcreview.com/article708-page1.html
It Froogles at $125 but that will drop in a month because many good units are comming out.

Check out the Silverstone OP650, jonny has a review up on it now. If I wanted a 600 watter, that's the one I'd buy.
If you register at jonny's forum, deadeyedata.com will give another 8% off. Kinda like free shipping+a bit more.

You don't need a 500+ watt PSU. 12v power is what is really important in terms of power not total watts. My 360 watt PCP&C Silencer has your 500 watt MGE beat with 21A to give you an example.

If you don't intend on going SLi or Crossfire you'll never need more then a 350-400 watt PSU -- the Enhance ENP-5140GH 400W would be a good choice.

Look good? I think its the one you mentioned.
If you've decided against ever upgrading your video card, that one will work. 21A's isn't really very much, though, for the 12v rail. For instance, my power supply has 49 useable, continous amps on the 12v rail, and it's only a 610 watt psu.

Thats the one I have in my system. I've had it for about 2 years or so and it still looks like it only has a 20 pin ATX connector vs. the newer 24 pin so I wouldn't buy it again.

I would go with the Enhance I mentioned above or a 330-380 Seasonic S12.
