MFC Brother 4800 USB Printer

MFC Brother 4800 USB Printer copys and prints fine, but not scanning.
Error bubble indicates ports been used.
Tried to reinstall, power cycle, updating the driver, different cable then removed MFC from registry entry.
Any suggestion will be great.
Thanks.

*Warranty is over, I do not want to call Brother, and I know they cannot answer anything at all for sure! 🙁
