Mexico isn't all that exciting

I'm in Guayabitos mexico with the family, been down here for a week now. I'm not terribly impressed. Sure, the weather is nice and hot and sunny. There is a narrow beach, very crowded with people and vendors. The town seems to consist solely of small shops and stalls selling tourist crap. I've spent most of my time hanging around reading, maybe i there were more people around my age who speak english, I'd enjoy it a little more. No worries though, I'm back to the states on thursday.

Maybe you shouldn't judge an entire country after visiting one town? There aren't that many US cities that would exactly elicit excitement to first-time visitors either.

IMO, one should avoid the tourist traps if they want to get the feel of a country.

Well im sorry I impuned the honor of the entire country, I thought I was just talking about my trip. I will try to be more clear in the future. Believe me, Im not a tourist trap kind of person, but this is a family vacation, I don't run these things.

Yea, he should go to Mexico City, get kidnapped, sold into slavery, 'donate' organs, etc. That would give him a good feel of the country.

Mexico isn't exciting...it's supposed to be relaxing. If you want excitement, like CU said, go to Mexico City and get kidnapped. That'll get your adrenaline rush.

Not to mention get to see that wonderfull forest of trees smothered in plastic bags I hear so much about 😉 Oh and new fun diseases!

At least you haven't been grabbed and forced to withdraw cash from an ATM, that happened to a friend of mine down in Mexico.

So what you meant to say is - Family Vacations aren't all that exciting.

And how old are you? You are on a family vacation that you aren't in charge of(read - minor) but if you were in mexico with your friends you would be hungover on tequilla ( read - adult).

Hit any hot Mexican azz??

I've seen probably.....3 attractive girls in a week.

you need to go to guadalajara...that's where I saw the hottest girls(I couldn't believe my eyes). Not all places in Mexico are bad. From my experience drug towns and tourist spots attract the most criminals.
