It's made with purified tap water, just like here.

When you buy Dasani water, it's simply "Coke with nothing in it".

Are there any Mexican root beers? I rarely drink sodas except for root beer, but I want to try some of this Mexican coke.

I'm going to go on a quest to find mexican coke (well really any pop that I like that has real sugar instead of HFCS). Not sure how much luck I'll have around here but hopefully I can find something. I know of an international foods store so I'm going to go check them out here in a bit.

Damnit, I went to Costco this afternoon and there wasn't a bottle of Mexican Coke in sight!

I like the overseas version of Coke much better. The sugar cane is less powerful (and also less sweet) than HFCS, but you can taste more of the cola flavor IMO.

My roommate just asked me for one. According to her it tastes sweeter than the American version. But I do see her in class with a bottle of coke a lot. I don't drink coke very much (just when it's offered at fast food places), and I prefer Pepsi.

To me, it tastes a little different, but I can't describe exactly what.

If you read the label if it is made with real sugar cane the ingredients will say Sucrose instead of HFCS

I was in bermuda last week and had the coke there. I though it tasted better over there. The label said Sucrose.

I categorize myself as a heavy coke drinker, sadly

Mexican Coke is just like Jewish Coke, it's made from real sugar instead of corn syrup found in the post 1985 American counterpart. It's tasty and I like it but the Mexican Pepsi did make me feel sick. Fortunately for me however, most Mexican towns with Americans staying in a few of their hotels will keep the American variety of Pepsi or Coke in stock.

Where can I buy some to try? Anywhere on the internet?

Walmart?

They also have Dr. Pepper that uses sugar. It was $7.99 for a six pack of cans.

You can get it from the Coca~Cola offices in Atlanta or Cross the border in Nogalas.

Search your phonebook for "ethnic grocers" and if theres a Mexican grocer, then they'll have it, and maybe Mexican Sprite too.

Tastes better too.
The Coca Cola I have here next to me (Coke Classic) doesn't have sodium benzoate in it. Is it just diet Coke that has it?

US Coke (HCFS) tastes like crap and makes my stomach very unhappy.

I was in heaven when I went to Europe and could have Coke made with sugar cane. Sooooo much better.
Soda did that to me for awhile. Then I started to "flatten" soda by stirring it vigorously until most of the carbonation was out. Flat soda: a bit sweeter because of the lack of carbonation, and no upset stomach that feels like it's about to explode.:)
