theres one more game scheduled for tmw at 1:10

uhh, the series, AFAIK goes 3 games, the mets won yesterday and today, if they win tomorrow it's a sweep, but even if they lose tomorrow, they will STILL have won the series.

is someone having a problem with basic math?

nope, nothing was posted in this thread that requires an apology, public or private.

either stand by your OP or apologize for it, don't start to apologize for it and then let someone convince you you had nothing to apologize for. hahahaha

be a man.

lol. i put that as a joke. i was originally wrong, someone else pointed out my statement was open-ended, and thats why i edit'ed it out. i still feel like a damn fool because you know what i meant, and i just overlooked the fact. my brain was screaming at me 'but the series isnt even over with!' without even comprehending that 2 out of 3 is a win of the series.

and the pm statement was a setup, which you avoided. i was planning for a 'how does it feel to want?' retort, but you skirted around it, dammit! 😀

ok, i'll apologize. 🙂

we even now?

Sorry, I'm not a baseball guy..

But didn't Baseball just finish with the Marlins winning the World Series?

Good job by the Mets, the hungrier team won. The memory of this shining moment will hopefully make them feel better in October when they're at home watching the play-offs.

Good job by the Mets. Not that it matters much to the Yankees this year. Sure, they wanted to win, but it didn't have the intensity of previous subway series. I guess because of the Sox series.

It doesn't matter much for their record, since they're so far and away the best team in baseball (not so much that their record is great, as that other teams' are all mediocre at best), but it's gotta hit them in the morale department. This just about completely negates the Boston sweep. It's a bit disappointing for me, as a fan.

PLEASE! Negates the Boston series, are you kidding me?!?! The Mets series is about bragging rights. The Sox season is about THAT and so much more! So the Mets won the season series, but nobody will think the Mets are a better team. The Sox series meant so much more.

Eh, I guess I'm just a bit glum over it. I can see dropping the first game; after that game vs. Boston they must have felt like they'd run a marathon. I can even understand losing two.. but getting swept is just ugly.
