Mets' Minaya, Manuel to be replaced

New York, NY (Sports Network) - New York Mets general manager Omar Minaya and manager Jerry Manuel will reportedly not return to their roles with the team next season.

A report from SI.com cites sources in saying the announcements will probably be made before the playoffs begin next week.

Minaya is under contract through the end of the 2012 season, with club options for the 2013 and 2014 seasons, and the SI.com report states Minaya may consider staying with the organization in another role.
