I love Metroid Fusion and Metroid Zero Mission every bit as much if not more than Metroid Prime. I kinda wish Nintendo would release them in a DS collection. So what if the vast majority of Nintendo DS units can play the original GBA Game Paks? EVERY Wii can play the original GC game discs and that didn't stop them! Of course, there isn't some compelling "New Play Control!" advantage to putting them on DS cards, so I guess that's why they'd hesitate to bother. DSi ware perhaps? There is no GBA slot there. Of course, there is also no way to connect a DS to the Wii.

Now, if I dig up my old GBA somewhere, will I still find the connectivity options in the Wii versions of the Metroid Prime series? It would have been nice if Nintendo did release DSi Ware versions of the classic GBA games, but it's a little late now if the Wii version of Metroid Prime couldn't connect via Wii-to-DS WiFi ala Pokemon.

Dammit. :| I just realized that they took out the individual title screens! The original title screen for Metroid Prime was beyond perfect. :( I wonder if it's because they couldn't make the FMV 16:9? My solution would've been to viewport it with some fancy Metroid-ish border.

You have got to be joking me

/Oblivion NPC

You have to unlock stuff with medals that you get throughout the game in order to unlock the things that would have been unlocked using the GBA connectivity

I got this but I don't know if I can get used to the controls. Wii mote turns too slow for me. Can you jack the sensitivity up?

But how does that unlock anything in the GBA games? I think they missed the boat with not making DSi Ware releases of the original GBA games with the ability to do the same interaction over Wii-to-DSi WiFi (ala the Wii-to-DS Pokemon games). I would buy them again and it couldn't hurt to have a combined marketing push. Because the DSi lacks a GBA slot but still contains the same hardware as the standard DS and DS lite, I'm sure that they removed it almost as an excuse to sell classic GBA games as downloadables. I'd be sorely disappointed if it couldn't play download-able GBA software without significant, AKA "discouraging," amount of effort (ported by a dev team vs. packaged as a ROM dump + hooks for save data and such).

Enable "Advanced" controls... it automatically switches to the higher sensitivity. I kinda want a mode with nearly no "dead zone" so my view can be almost locked to my aim but the way the sensor bar works requires that there be a "centered" area so that you aren't always turning (can't just stop to stop the turning because you can't just lift it up and set it down to keep moving out of range like with a mouse).

IIRC, couldn't you lock onto something with the scan visor and then press the button for rockets to automatically switch to the normal visor and smash the target with a rocket? I keep walking into turrets while scanning things and wasting a rocket before I can lock... even when locked I have to aim with my control settings but I find it easier to waste one first than to turn off the scan visor by firing a normal shot or using the minus button. I kinda wish you could just toggle visors with the minus button or at least set it to return to the default one when tapped.
