Who would vote for anything on that list before multiplayer? Even if it was limited to the console and not online it would own.

Voted for multiplayer. Though, I hope if they add multiplayer they don't put less focus on the singleplayer campaign. Single player should get always get top priority.

Also, I hope they at least give the option of different control schemes.

I voted for longer, more challenging adventure.

They should include both the more challenging adventure and multiplayer.

Metroids a FPS?:D
I think I'll stick with FPA :)
I'll just cut/paste my reply to similar comments at Voodoextreme.
And to the people that refuse to call Metroid a FPS... get over yourselves. I've put in ~10 hours on my buddies copy, and the game has me shooting at various enemies and targets every 5 damn seconds. For some reason uppity gamers try to avoid the stigma that goes along with first-person shooters by calling Metroid a first-person adventure. BS!
Metroid is a FPS with emphasis on exploration. Its an awesome game, but its still a shooter.

Then my question is what would be considered a first person adventure :)

An adventure game in the first person perspective with little/no weapons.

Morrowind? I'm not sure how much emphasis that has on weapons.

Edit: I also just don't see MP being fun as multiplayer...

But what would be an example? None are crossing my mind....

Multiplayer Metroid will be just like all the other multiplayer games. This is a single player game, and as good as the first one was, it was too short and too easy.

I don't think calling it a first person adventure is to avoid the "stigma" of describing it as a first person shooter... it's just to emphasize the exploration aspect and to mitigate some of the controversy about the control scheme... namely the ability to lock on to enemies.

I think Metroid would be too hard to play if you had to actually aim.

I believe the most common complaint with the control scheme is the inability to circle strafe and free look without having to depress the lock button and aim button, respectively.

Given the number of attacking enemies in some of the areas, the target lock proved invaluable, but I still found myself pulling my hair out when being attacked from above by multiple enemies. I'd have to stop moving, press the aim button, and get the crosshairs closer to the enemy in order to get the lock to target properly.

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Don't ruin a perfect game by making it multi-player. OOOOH, let's make Zelda multiplayer next. Wait, let's do it on a GBA and make it really freaking dumb. Oh yeah, it's been done already!

Trust me, we don't want this.

I don't see how adding multiplayer would "ruin" the game; it would just add another possibly very good feature to an already excellent game. Nintendo's known for the single player aspect so I wouldn't expect by adding more features they would in any way lessen the single player part, thats always been the Big N's primary focus in their games.
