I don't know how, but it actually looks worse than the first one.
But I know that's not the case and will most likely buy it the first day out.

I think I'm the only one on earth that just plain didn't like metroid prime.

You'd better be able to strafe while aiming/firing. Jesus Christ that's annoying. Multiplayer with those damn controls would be horrible, especially considering the first game relied so heavily on the lock on feature.

Yes. Your in a very very small minority. I suggest seeking psycological help! :)

I thought the controls were perfect. Took a bit of getting used to, but the controls were very well suited. Im guessing that either A) You only played MP once. Or B) Couldnt be bothered to learn the controls propely.

Cel Shading suited TWW well imo. After a bit of getting used to it, i found that it was one of the best lookinh games out. Nothing was out of place.

Yeah... you know what I meant, I was hoping that WW2 would not use cel-shading. It suited the game well, but I would rather have it like it was on N64... it was MUCH better that way.

I remember reading that Shigeru Miyamoto's handpicked successor to take over the Zelda series said he would not use Cel-Shading for the Zelda game on the next nintendo console, I don't think cel-shading suits the series well... it sorta takes away from the zelda legacy. I grew up with the game and Zelda 64 really 'matured' the series.. I felt that WW was a step backwards... but thats just me.

I own the game, and have played it for a few hours but got bored. The controls work decently enough for single player, but I can't see them working at all for multiplayer.

Why? Care to elaborate?
In the hands of 2-4 MP veterans, it`d be great. But 1 MP player Vs 2-3 n00bs would be a bit lop sided.

the metroid prime screenshots look like crap. Notice that whenever the enemies are high resolution, the surroundings are low-resolution or super dark? Notice that everything in the multiplayer screenshot looks almost no better than N64's Perfect Dark? This game is severely testing the Gamecube's limits and to expect more of out of it would be a joke

Sure :p

There's lock on targeting in the game.. that would obviously not work for a multiplayer game. And you can't strafe while freeloking, which I'm used to for most fps games (note I did not say the first game was BAD because of this, I just got bored hunting for artifacts). Those are my main skepticisms over the multiplayer mode. But I'm sure they will likely change the controls for multiplayer, it simply wouldnt work. Try playing goldeneye without strafing, seriously :p

windwaker was great. i only wish that it had revolved around two or three larger landmasses and that i didn't have to play that dam song to make the direction of the wind change so much.

The original Metroid Prime game didnt use any sort of mapping for the fancy brick textures. It used pure fillrate. The GC supports some VERY advanced mapping techiques, and if the MP2 developers know whats good for them, they`ll take advantage of it, and make the game look as good as, if not better than MP1.
The GC still has alot of untapped potential, despite the "views" of people with negative opinions on Nintendo.

I Agree. The two that were "big" wernt that big.
Prehaps 2-3 large land masses, about the size of Hyrule field from OOT. 3 big towns. And keep the rest how it is.
